Washington State Tax Structure Work Group Presentation & Discussion

During this virtual discussion on September 1, 2021, presenters on behalf of the Washington State Tax Structure Work Group shared proposed updates to Washington’s state tax structure and shared a survey with participants. The intention was to gather feedback from individual taxpayers and businesses. The discussion included:

• Background information about the current tax structure
• Explanations of different scenarios for changing the tax structure to improve fairness, adequacy, stability, and transparency
• Discussion and presentation of a survey for business input
• Opportunities for participants to share their opinions
